![]() LION is a newsroom for journalism students designed to serve the community of Lyons Township. ![]() We publish seven issues each school year. The staff works during period 8 and after school in Room 220 of North Campus. Juniors and seniors who have taken Journalistic Writing are chosen for the staff by graduating staff members and our Advisor, Mr. ![]() LTHS is composed of two campuses: South Campus hosts freshmen and sophomores North Campus hosts juniors and seniors. Special meetings are called by the board president to discuss and vote on business that may arise in between regular Board of Education meetings.The LION Newspaper is the student publication of Lyons Township High School of La Grange, IL. on the first Monday of the month, and are posted accordingly. The board does not take action at these meetings and complies with the Open Meetings Act before taking action.Ĭommittee meetings are generally held at 6:30 p.m. These meetings are open to the public and include a variety of reports and presentations made to the board. However, all action is taken in open session.Ĭommittee Meetings of the Whole are working sessions in which specific topics are discussed in greater detail. Items concerning personnel, school security, negotiations or litigation and other subjects permitted under the Open Meetings Act are discussed in closed session. When necessary, special, adjourned, or committee meetings are held throughout the year.Īll meetings are open to the public.
